Product Details

Argon arc welding wire is generally used ER309 wire or A302 electrode material welding. ER309 wire or A302 electrode material is suitable for joining high hardness steel, fixing steel mould base, making base buffer layer of cast steel mould hard surface, welding of crack, and argon arc welding have very good compatibility. The principle of argon arc welding technology is to use argon gas to protect metal welding material and melt the welding material on the welding base material by high current, so that the welding metal and welding material achieve metallurgical combination. The welding material consists of argon gas due to the continuous transfer of argon during high temperature fusion welding. Can not be in contact with oxygen in the air, thus preventing the oxidation of welding materials, so stainless steel, iron metal can be welded.

Aluminum Magnesium FAQs

What is Aluminum Magnesium 5356 Alloy Welding Wire?

Aluminum Magnesium 5356 alloy welding wire is a filler material used in welding aluminum and its alloys. It contains about 5% magnesium, making it strong, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for applications requiring high strength and good weldability.

What is the Typical Use of Aluminum Magnesium 5356 Welding Wire?

This welding wire is typically used for welding aluminum structures, boats, tanks, and other components exposed to saltwater or corrosive environments, due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength.

Can You Use Aluminum Magnesium 5356 Welding Wire with Argon Gas?

Yes, aluminum magnesium 5356 welding wire is commonly used with argon or argon-based gas mixtures in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to protect the weld from contamination.
