Flux-cored wire is also known as powder-cored wire, tubular wire, it can be divided into two categories of gas protection and non-gas protection. The surface of flux-cored wire is made of low carbon steel or low alloy steel with good plasticity. The manufacturing method is that the steel strip is rolled into U-shaped section shape, then the welding powder is filled into the U-shaped steel strip according to the dosage, and the steel strip is rolled tight by a pressure mill, and finally drawn into different specifications of flux-cored wire. As a whole, flux-cored wire can be divided into self-shielded flux-cored wire and gas shielded flux-cored wire. Gas shielded flux-cored wire is usually divided into two slag systems, namely, acidic and basic (T 1 and T 5) . The acid slag flux-cored wire has good performance and can be used in all-position welding. It is the most widely used typical high-efficiency welding material in shipbuilding industry. The weld metal of basic flux-cored wire has a good purification effect, and it can obtain excellent process performance by adjusting the proper formula, which is suitable for the position of flat welding and fillet welding.
